What it is
There are a few things that contribute to our defining Canadian style such as the immense diversity we find across our country, but there is no doubt that our love for cottage getaways and the great outdoors also plays a huge influence. And few other brands exemplifiy this lifestyle than apparel giant, Roots Canada.

Why we love it
Each Canada Day, Roots celebrates with a collection of 100 percent Canadian clothing for women and men so this year you can commemorate our country's 144th birthday and show your roots with the Canada Day Collection. My top pick is the white Women’s Canada Ribbed Tank with the good ol’ maple leaf print. For a casual but chic outfit, pair the tank with a summer skirt like their pull on jersey skirt (who can resist a skirt with pockets?). Pair the skirt with sandals, flip flops, boots, flats, or heels, depending on the terrain you choose to tread this weekend. The weather can and does fluctuate, so don’t forget to grab a plaid or chambray shirt on your way out, too. Throw the shirt on when the wind starts to blow and tie the bottom up like they did in the 1950s and carry on with your festivities. Roots has kept me cozy and looking good on many chilly nights at the cottage thanks to their classic iconic zip hoodies and sweats.

Enjoy this gorgeous long weekend no matter what you are doing and where you are.Happy Canada Day and might I add, Happy Pride!
