Palladium boots make a comeback

You may remember these boots from back in the day. Made out of vulcanized rubber tires and canvas layers from European aircraft wheels, this footwear was never for the faint of heart.

After producing tires for European aircrafts in the 1920's, Palladium decided to open a plant in France for none other than footwear.

The French Foreign Legion even adopted their popular Pampa boot for treks in North Africa. But today these shoes are made for far more than just trekking through deserts and mountains. This boot is all about urban chic.

To me they seem like a mix of the old-school rocker style lace up Dr. Martens and the Bensimon runners.

I really like the look. Keep an eye out for fall when the boots will have leather, a new shinier fabric and of course full lace- ups to the knee. The styles can also be folded over and snap down to keep the look loose and casual.
