One of a Kind gifts

Looking for the perfect gift for someone you love is no easy feat. Trust me, for someone who usually ends up buying things for themselves when Christmas shopping (hey, I know what I like) it's hard to find that one unique item that no one else will have. And that's why I hit up the One of a Kind show every year. From clothes to food to beauty products to jewellery there's something unique for everyone on your list. And the vendors are usually small Canadian businesses that you otherwise might not discover. Plus, have you seen the kids clothes, personalized ornaments and amazing stuffed animals? I go back every year just to hunt down some of my favourite vendors (Moonrox, Ratgirl, Biko Designs) and the list goes on. The One of a Kind starts today in Toronto and goes until Dec 6th. Even drag your friends or family out with you and get them to pick out something they like. It doesn't take the fun out of it because you'll have a great day exploring unique Canadian crafts and artisans. (My sisters and I do it every year!) Check it out online for info and go down tomorrow to hear our production editor Katie Dupuis give a talk on her favourite crafty gifts this year. Okay, and yes I admit I'll be there as well on Dec 2nd at noon if you want to hear me ramble on about some great gifts. If you want any advice I'll be sticking around afterwards to show you my favourite pieces!
