Maria Sharapova: fashionable on and off the courts

I had the pleasure of going to a Tag Heuer cocktail party with Maria Sharapova last Friday. She's in town for the Rogers Cup taking over the courts from the 15th to the 23rd in Toronto. Even if you didn't know who the tennis star was (I'm not the most sport savvy) you would stop dead in your tracks if you saw her. She looks more like a model than a tennis pro. She says she's always stealing her coach's Tag watch from him because she likes the big faces. The Russian-born beauty made this classic menswear-inspired timepiece look chic and feminine with a dress and heels. Beauty and brawn? She's a pretty lucky lady. –Kate Daley
