From fashion to fragrance, Marc Jacobs sets his mark on the beauty field and looks ready to score.

Best known for his trendsetting fashion, ranging from early 1990s grunge to logo-laden bags at Louis Vuitton, designer Marc Jacobs has also slowly been dipping his toe into the beauty realm with several successful fragrances, Oh Lola! and the just-released Honey, and is now taking the plunge into the world of makeup, too.

Jacobs’ new line, Marc Jacobs Beauty, will debut August 9 at select Marc Jacobs stores and exclusively at Sephora.

This is no small, capsule collection. Instead, in true MJ style, the line will carry 120 items including mascara ($32) and pigmented lip lacquers ($34), and everything in between. Some of Marc’s favourites include the lip lock moisture balm ($29) and the brow tamer grooming gel ($29). Housed in beautiful, black lacquered cases, the line is sleek, rich and covetable.

Not many talented designers or beauty experts are able to make this crossover with ease and expertise, but something tells us that Marc will hit the mark with this venture, too.
