There are a ton of lipsticks on the market these days that promise longer lasting wear. But here are two simple tips that are bound to help your lips keep their colour  no matter the brand you choose. And that means your products will last longer too!

1. Less is actually more when it comes to lipstick. The more that you put on, the more it comes off – just think about the rim of your morning coffee cup. Instead of slathering it on, try applying it to either your top or bottom lip, and then rub them together. This technique is meant to stain the colour onto lips instead of just superficially coating them.

2. Look for a lipstick that doesn’t have a scent. Fruity and delicious may seem like a nice idea, but the tendency is to reapply and reapply when something smells (or tastes!) good. This means that your colour will rub off quicker and you’ll also have to replace your products sooner. Plus, fragrance and other artificial additives can potentially irritate and dry out your lips, and come on, that’s not the look that we’re going for!
