The world is being overtaken by World Cup fever. I don’t even like watching soccer and I’m pumped for it to begin – I only wish I was in beautiful South Africa watching it in person instead of here. A girl can dream. But of course, there’s appeal for all sorts of interests with the football players – hello the most recent cover of Vanity Fair – but also because there’s a fun fashion element to the upcoming games. When it kicks off June 11th the football prize will be arriving in style with Louis Vuitton. The FIFA World Cup Trophy will be travelling in a special order case, handmade by a single craftsman in Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières workshop outside Paris. What better way to carry something so precious?
