What it is: Longline jacket with shawl lapel, $48, Forever 21

How to Wear it: September is here and while we might not be wearing a jacket just yet, now is the time to scoop up the good ones before they are gone. A chic combination of colour and cut, we're coveting this fab under $50 find. Wear it as shown and make a monochromatic statement or keep it casual and layer it over a lightweight sweater and a pair of dark skinny denim and cute chelsea boots.

Why I love it: This coat was calling my name and I just had to answer. I love everything about it from the rich jewel tone colour and curve stitch detailing to the lightly padded shoulders and flattering back vent. I have it hanging in my closet now but once the cool weather arrives, I'll be wearing it over jeans, a long camel sweater and a pair of matching emerald pumps.
