Knit jacket: Weekly steal

I adore the colour and the cut of this casual coat and love playing up its nautical feel by pairing it with a navy and white stripped shirt

What it is: Knitted Milano Jacket, Topshop, available at The Bay , $42

How to wear it: Like the cherry on top of a sundae, this knit jacket adds the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. With beautiful contrast detailing, fabulous front patch pockets and delicate gold buttons, Topshop's Milano jacket is a little bit of luxe that everyone can afford. Pair this red-hot blazer with skinny trousers, a navy button-down and a set of pointed kitten heels for an easy office appropriate outfit. Or, wear it on the weekend with jeans, a white tee and pair of casual kicks (like Keds, Converse or my fave this season, Supergas).

Why I love it: So super chic, the Milano jacket is a splendid way to add a little warmth and polish to your summer style without having to go the traditional blazer route. I adore the colour and the cut of this casual coat and love playing up its nautical feel by pairing it with a navy and white stripped shirt. Add an ankle length jean and a pretty pair of gold flats and you'll be set to sail off into the sunset.
