Boot-Cut

Shape: Slim fitting through the thigh with a slight flare just below the knee.
 
Best for: Petite, curvy or tall and slim; this cut of denim is universally flattering.
 
Fit tip: Look for a mid-rise and a length long enough so you can have them hemmed to a perfect length for your leg.

Cropped

Shape: A cut that hits right at the ankle and depending on your height has to be hemmed that way.
 
Best for:  Tall or boyish figures.
 
Fit tip: The most flattering fit for a cropped pant is slim. If you go oversized, look for details like pleats and cuffed bottoms.

High-Waisted

Shape: Sits high on your true waistline and can be found in both slim fit and wide-leg.
 
Best for: Camouflaging a tummy and defining your waist, particularly when belted.
 
Fit tip: Make sure the fit is fitted but not too tight and make sure they are hitting you at the smallest part of your waist.

Skinny

Shape: Fitted through the leg with a narrow opening and lots of taper.

Best for:  
Short or tall, but have to be dedicated to having or blessed with killer stems.  

Fit tip:
This style should look snug but not painted on. Stretch is key here.
