Hudson Bay Heritage Collection

Canada is cool again? Well clearly if you look at the temperature outside. And according to the Hudson's Bay Company, Canadiana items are back in style with the Hudson Bay Heritage Collection. Composed of 120 items, this collection includes their classic point blankets, coats, scarves, hats, and of course maple sugar cubes, hand-knit sweaters and made-to-order canoes... Huh? Yeah, canoes are cool again too in case you didn't know.

Custom-made Hudson Bay Canoe. I want one!

Top designers reworked the traditional red, yellow, indigo and green multi-stripe signature of the Bay for the collection including: Pink Tartan, Shared, Harricana, Virginia Johnson, Jeremy Laing, Comgrags, Todd Lynn, Klaxon Howl, Smythe and Erdem. These coats are on exhibition at the Queen Street store right now and will be featured in Vancouver at the Olympic Games. Tons of Canadian designers are re-inventing the traditional print and it's pretty exciting.
