Hot summer hair

Say so long to kinky, frizzy or limp locks with these hot-weather tips
By Lisa Tant
Let it curl

You may prefer straight locks, but why not use humidity to your advantage? Summer's hot moist air is a blessing for forming layered curls—and it's the perfect weather to take a break from heavy-duty styling.

Styling tip
To get this textured beach look, we scrunched in a leave-in conditioner such as Clairol Infusium 23 UV Heat Activated Leave-In Treatment, 225 mL/$7. Let hair dry naturally or blow-dry with a diffuser attachment. Lightly misting a hairspray such as ONE Professional Freeze Mist Finishing Spray, 350 mL/$6, into your roots adds lift and absorbs excess moisture.
