Hot summer hair

Say so long to kinky, frizzy or limp locks with these hot-weather tips

Can't get by without your blow-dryer or straightening iron? These tips will help you get the styling heat you need without further frying:

• Load up on a conditioner such as Alberto VO5 Dry Ends Daily Rinse-Out Conditioner, 220 mL/$6. If your locks are limp, apply it mainly to the ends.

• Blot wet hair with a towel. Rubbing it dry causes frizz.

• The less time spent under the dryer, the better. Wait until your hair is half-dry before blow-drying.

• Thermal protectors such as ThermaSilk Control & Condition Cream, 160 mL/$4, help shield hair from styling damage.

• Apply a light mist or a few drops of shine enhancer such as Sebastian Laminates Drops, 50 mL/$24, to wet hair before styling.
