Up and away

A modern but unfussy updo is a high, messy bun. Keep hair loose, not too tight, and leave flyaways as is – the more undone, the better, says Danilo, Pantene Global Ambassador.

This season’s hottest hairdo is also the easiest to achieve: A stylish ponytail is both sleek and effortless – it’s a one-minute makeover.

Va-va volume

Inject some oomph into your everyday locks by turning up the volume with this classic, but sexy Bardot blowout. Three steps to the perfect blow-out:

  1. Blow-dry your hair upside down for two minutes.
  2. Flip back up and finish styling with a round brush.
  3. Create extra body by backcombing at the roots.

Twist it

"This year it's all about updos and artistry when it comes to holiday party hairstyles," says Alain Larivee, Creative Consultant at John Frieda. “The classic French twist chignon is once again making a comeback. Or, try a braided bun by pulling together a series of loose braids into one larger bun at the base,” says Larivee.

Styling tip: Use strong holding spray such as John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier to lock in this ‘do.

Braid it

"Braids are very fashionable and will be around all season and all of next year" says Larivee. Go one step further and try a more intricate, detailed fish braid.
