A messy updo

Section off about three inches of hair at the front of your head and clip to the side. Take the rest of the hair and pull into a ponytail at the top of your head. Backcomb and coil this section into a “nest” to create as much volume as possible, and secure the nest into place with bobby pins. Next, take the clipped section and smooth it over the nest, securing it into place, while tucking in the ends. Finish by pulling out little pieces to create texture.

McQ by Alexander McQueen Top, $585, Holt Renfrew.
Skirt, $140, White House Black Market.
Under $100 | Bracelet, $45, Banana Republic.
