Leap into spring

1. The oversized shirt

It’s versatile, comfortable and one of our favourite trends. Go for a tailored but loose (that doesn’t mean sloppy) silhouette, and wear it as a dress or with skinny pants. Remember, bigger is better!

2. An easy coat

Here’s a fresh take on the traditional trench, no belt required. It’s slouchy, soft and super lightweight — we promise you’ll never want to take it off.

Jacket, $695, Smythe Les Vestes. Paige denim jeans, $445, Holt Renfrew. Under $100 | Top, $89, Ann Taylor. Bracelets, $15/set of 4, H&M.

This essential jacket sports a long, lean silhouette and skinny lapels. Break the old layering rules and let your shirttails come loose. Do as the Parisians do and just have fun with it.

7. Anything bright

We’re in love with this sweet, lemony shade, but any summer colour will do. Go for a single classic piece, like a flowy skirt or shift dress that you’ll be able to wear year after year.
