Uniqlo U has launched its Spring/Summer collection for 2026, and it appears that the go-to retailer for high-quality, affordable basics may be attempting to outdo its viral Moon bag with its latest offering: the Packable Pocket Cross-Body.
At just under $30, the unisex bag is a sleek nylon hybrid that can be worn tight to the body or strapped across your waist in a roomy, upsized twist on the utilitarian fanny pack. It can also be folded up into a pouch, making it ideal for travel.
The Moon Bag became a beloved staple not just for its aesthetic but its practicality: “It’s a bit like Mary Poppins’ bag—it fits way more than you’d think,” Rebecca Gao wrote for Chatelaine in 2022, when the bag became available at Uniqlos across Canada.
