Shape shopping: Flattering pants
Put away your LBDs. Summer is the time to try out bright colours and feminine prints.
This season’s best offerings, from super-short to ankle-grazing, come decked out with fun detailing that showcases crafty embroidery and metallic flair.
Petite

This Bohemian-inspired tunic is great for smaller figures. The loose cut adds volume, creating curves when cinched with a belt. Dress it down with leggings.

Busty

This dress has a streamlined shape but still offers ample room for a full bosom, and the striking metalwork at the neckline draws the eye upward.

Tall and Slim

As long as it’s not too loose, a floor-skimming dress flatters a lean silhouette. Go for a cheerful print – its versatility goes from daytime chic to nighttime glamour.

Pear

Choose dresses that are fitted through the bust and have vertical pleating that flows over the hips. Throw on a pretty pashmina if you don’t want to show your arms.

Apple

Suggest an hourglass shape with a fitted, solid-colour dress. The seaming creates a sexy waistline and the beaded neckline draws attention away from any fullness below.
