The first official visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was a
great success and will leave a lasting impression on Canadians similar to the 1939
tour with King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
Kate Middleton has quickly proven herself a fashion icon, putting a
stamp on her favourite designers while successfully establishing her own personal style. Notably, she has also put a spotlight on our nation's pool of talented designers. During this tour, Kate’s choice of colour went from one end of the spectrum - pale, earth
tones - to the other with vibrant blues and purple. Her accessories were
kept to a minimum, adding only earrings, a brooch, or a compact clutch. For
shoes, her pale patent heels proved versatile, as she wore them with both neutral
and bright outfits.

The Duchess attends a ceremony in a form-fitting grey sheath dress by British designer Catherine Walker (who was one of Princess Diana's favourites) with a pair of egg-shaped Links of London earrings, a silver clutch and heels.
Wearing Canadian designer, Erdem, for a second time, she pairs this vibrant blue sheath dress with neutral heels by LK Bennett.
On Canada Day, she wore our flag colours: a white Reiss dress, red pumps and a Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Company fascinator.
She topped a Roland Mouret sheath dress with a blue linen Smythe blazer and a Mulberry bag.
