CVSNT Installation Tips

After having received numerous emails privately and seen a number of postings complaining about the difficulty of getting the CVSNT system up and running. So to help out I have actually stepped through the process on a "naked" NT4 WorkStation and noted the different steps needed.

Apart from minor operating system details (like where the path variable is set), these steps work the same way on Win NT4, Win 2000 and Win XP-Pro (I have tested all).

Notice: This guide is rewritten on Dec 23rd 2002 to describe the new way of installing CVSNT that has been introduced recently. The reason I have done this is that many users have had problems getting it up and running. The guide is substantially the same as before, but it contains tips on how to set it up correctly.
