Diaper toting never looked so good: check out the Mantra bag, fashion editor Tracey Ho Lung’s pick of the month

Bringing up baby

I'm not in the family way, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good bag when I see one. The diaper tote from Mantra, $225, is as stylish as it is baby-proof (translation: durable). With two non-babyish colours to choose from (sexy champagne and man-friendly army green), diaper-toting has never looked so chic. And Canadian designer Carla Stitt has thought of everything: easy-access pockets for sipper cups, pacifiers and bottles (one pocket is even lined to keep food hot or cold), and separate food and diaper compartments. It also includes a matching diaper change pad and plastic odour-eater disposal bag for used nappies (for when you can't find a trash can anywhere!). But it's not just all about
baby. There's a spot for mom's cellphone, sunglasses and spare change, too.

Available at Holt Renfrew in Toronto (Sherway Gardens, Yorkdale and Bloor Street locations), Montreal and Ottawa.
