Ask Lisa + Liz
Q: Cool in the morning, hot by lunch--with the unpredictable climate this time of year, I often wear a sweater around my waist. Does that look sloppy?

Unfortunately, yes. This look is unflattering to any body shape. Try tying a sweater around your shoulders for a more polished look. If you tie it around your waist to disguise a larger bottom, you end up only drawing attention and extra bulk to your bum, making it look a lot bigger. You're better off sticking to A-line skirts or wide-legged pants in darker, slimming shades. Avoid busy patterns, horizontal stripes or bold colours on your bottom half. --Liz Cabral
