Q: Do I need to spend a lot of money on mascara? I saw one that cost $25.

Mascara is one of those beauty products--like eyeliner pencils--that you don't need to spend much on. I've spent a little (about $7) and a lot (up to $30) and even the expensive ones can be clumpy. It comes down to personal choice. I always see Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, Cover Girl Professional Mascara, and L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in makeup artists' kits---all three are inexpensive and do a great job.  --Lisa Tant
