Fashion pick of the week: A Rachel Roy printed shirtdress

This winter seems to be lasting forever! I’ve learned that filling my wardrobe with spring (which is almost two weeks away) items is the perfect distraction.

It’s all about fun and whimsical floral prints for spring 2011 and designer, Rachel Roy, has got her prints just right! The large red poppies mixed with the blue and purple, cooler-toned flowers makes this the perfect spring shirtdress this season.

This 100 percent silk, belted, button-down dress hits just right above the knee, with two handy and cute front pockets make it perfect for both work and play.

It's a good investment as it can be worn from season to season. Cover up at work with a fitted blazer or woolly cardigan paired with tights for modesty. On weekends, let the dress peek out from under a leather motorcycle jacket and combat boots or flats. When the warmer weather arrives, wear the dress alone with just about any sandal you want!
