Fashion fix: The bold, bright and beautiful cocktail ring

With the minimalist trend on the rise, I find it wildly amusing that the market has been flooded with over-the-top accessories.

What: Ring by Thomas Sabo

Why we love it: With the minimalist trend on the rise, I find it wildly amusing that the market has been flooded with over-the-top accessories. Take a classic white shirt and pair it with a simple pair of dark denim jeans or a sleek 3/4 length skirt and you've pretty much mastered the look of the season. The best way to set yourself apart from the rest, lies in your accessories. I'm talking shoes, bags and jewelry.

This sterling silver with purple and green zirconia cocktail ring from Thomas Sabo is one of my favourite statement pieces from this season. In a great colour and unique shape it will bring that simple outfit from boring to bold.

Thomas Sabo cocktail ring, $429.
