Do-it-yourself

By Kate Daley
Do-it-yourself Do-it-yourself

I like to think of myself as fashion savvy (it's kind of what I do) but I am often given my best fashion ideas from others. My older sister, a particularly fashion savvy woman herself, was admiring a cute brooch I'd snagged at a local bazaar over the holidays. “Why don't you put this on a string of pearls?" she suggested. Genius idea. I now have a rocking costume brooch to jazz up my blazer, and a trendy necklace all in one.

Vintage brooch:$8

Borrowed faux pearls from a friend: Free!

My classic blazer - it was a steal I picked up in the fall at Joe Fresh Style - and vintage brooch. So Chanel-inspired!

A beautiful necklace in a snap.
