When CoverGirl first came out with their Exact EyeLights Eyeshadow I was pretty excited. But I was also a bit skeptical.

How many shadows have I seen that are made for a specific eye colour and then don't seem to do anything for me at all? So I dutifully took these home and prepared myself for disappointment. Lo and behold, I loved them!

The shadows stayed on all day - and I mean from 7:30 a.m. when I first put them on until 9:30 p.m. when I got home. And they had detailed instructions on the back about how to best apply the four shades so they would complement your eyes. The set also came with a big brush that helped spread the shadow evenly and a foam applicator for smudging. Plus there are tips on the package from celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern so you can't go too wrong.

Or you can pick one shade you love and use that all over. It's great for travelling or taking to the gym because you have lots of colour options all in one palette.

Far right: CoverGirl's Exact EyeLights Eyeshadow, $9.

They're new and pretty fun so if you love to experiment, try away!
