Cover shoot beauty

On set beauty tips from our March cover
By Madeline Cravit
Cover shoot beauty Alvaro Goveia

For the March cover shoot and feature spread, we snagged some of Canada’s hottest new talent and let one of our favorite makeup artists, David Goveia, go to work on them. (Well actually, he didn’t have too much work to do considering these ladies were so beautiful to begin with!) Here’s what he had to say about the beauty vibe on set.

“The theme was natural but polished, with the emphasize on eyeliner and a simple glossed mouth.” When using colour, David focused on either lips or eyes, allowing for one feature to shine on each actress. And for a healthy flush, blush was kept soft and easy in a palette of rose pinks and corals. The final touch? A manicure and pedicure in a sophisticated red polish

The understated beauty look was a perfect match for the white shirt and jeans styling on set.
