Cougar Style

I know how much women love the use of the word cougar. It's just sooo flattering, why wouldn't you? It seems that the instant you're over 25, you're categorized as a leather pant-wearing, hair-teasing, age-denying, man-stealer. But it's kind of a funny term and now a new show is re-appropriating the term to make it (hopefully) have slightly less pathetic connotations. Courteney Cox stars in CityTV's new show Cougar Town , playing a newly divorced woman who is learning to date in her 40's. Starting tonight at 9:30, the show will likely have a lot of good laughs and it also seems a lot of great style. Paparazzi have already caught Courteney's look from the show on film and she's wearing a lovely piece from jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer. The diamond and yellow gold turtle necklace (below) was originally designed to mark the grand opening of Vancouver's Holt Renfrew store in 2007, and is clearly still a hit.

And after checking out her website I found out where one of the baubles I have been lusting over is from. Check it out below. This 18K yellow gold diamond wishbone necklace from He's Just Not That Into You distracted me the whole movie. It's simple, tasteful and yet unique. Check out her designs at Holt Renfrew locations across Canada. And check out a hopefully hilarious take on cougars tonight.
