Canadian products go Hollywood

I must admit I tend to get a little starstruck around TIFF time. I don't know what comes over me, but seeing Naomi Watts on Bloor Street and hearing that Drew Barrymore was spotted hanging out at one of my favourite haunts on Ossington throws me into a tizzy. Anyways enough about the celebs for now, Kate and I have been busy swag-scoping. What I really loved about the Bask-It-Style celebrity gift baskets where the number of Canadian items within it. Here are some of my faves: Greg May hair products I've long been a fan of Toronto-based hair stylist Greg May and his product s and now I've got another reason to visit his Yorkville-based salon. May has just launched a new environmentally-friendly product line made from premium botanical extracts. I'm currently loving his Rescue Me shampoo, which has an intoxicating coconut scent and his paraben-free Restore deep conditioning treatment - the perfect set of products for over-styled celeb locks. Fusion Beauty StimulashFusion lash enhancer If you've ever worn false eyelashes or had semi-permanent lash extensions you will appreciate this product. It means no more goopy glue on your lids and no lashes sitting askew when they become unglued. Instead, Stimulash encourages the growth of your own natural lashes. The intensive lash conditioning formula promises thicker, longer lashes in as little as six weeks. Fans of Fusion Beauty already include everyone from Jessica Alba to Carmen Electra so this new product is sure to be a film fest favourite. Lilë Design eco-scarves This new funky line of scarves are made in Toronto using non-toxic dyes and super-soft organic cotton. They're available in a range of colours and are the perfect cozy accessory for cooler fall nights. Watch for more of our TIFF style coverage tomorrow. -- Jen O'Brien
