Boucle moto blazer: Weekly steal

This salt and pepper jacket is the perfect combination of downtown chic and uptown sophistication

What it is: Boucle Moto Blazer, $30, H&M

How to wear it: This black and white blazer is the perfect combination of downtown chic and uptown sophistication. The sleek front zipper and metallic hardware gives it just the right amount of edge while the classic tweed pattern and tailoring keeps it ladylike. Pair it with a black silk shirt, pencil skirt and kitten heels for a fierce office outfit or keep it casual and wear it with skinny jeans, a white tee and a pair of black velvet smoking slippers.

Why I love it: A moto jacket is the perfect piece for layering. Leave it unzipped for a dramatic draping effect, or layer it under a heavier vest to create texture, or simply zip it up over a longer top. I am wearing it casually with skinny cords, a long silk tunic and a pair or ballet flats, but  I can't wait to wear it layered under a leather vest when the weather gets chillier.
