Weekend style: How to wear the boho rocker look

Whether it’s dinner with friends or a fundraiser, step out in an effortless ensemble that has a splash of rock ‘n’ roll edge.

Dree Hemingway’s effortless style seems to pour out of her naturally. After all, good taste is in her genes. The actress/model calls Mariel Hemingway mom and is the great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway. Attending a fundraiser in New York this week, Dree opts out of a formal LBD and instead sticks to her characteristic laidback look.

With autumn here, the key to transitional dressing is layering. We love how Dree has topped a pair of not-so-boring skinny pants (that have a hint of shine) with a layered white-on-white t-shirt and pullover combo, plus a tuxedo-inspired jacket. The open-toe shoes punctuate the edgy outfit, and for a hit of unexpected grittiness, this studded, oversize clutch is all you need.

Dree’s hair and makeup is always simple and clean. Save for a little colour on the lips and defined cheekbones, she sticks to a low-maintenance look.
