Spring is the perfect time to give your wardrobe, your makeup bag—or even your indoor garden—a little extra love. From a game-changing gadget every plant parent needs to the season's trendiest jeans, here's what our team bought and loved this month.

Mooreeke Chunky Knit Blanket, $79

“I was on the hunt for a navy blue chunky knit weighted blanket for my couch but the only options I found were rather expensive. This chenille option is not weighted, but the price was right, and I absolutely love it. The lightweight knit is super soft and cozy, and I love snuggling up under it and watching my new Netflix obsession, the criminally underrated Girls5Eva.” —Maureen Halushak, editor-in-chief

Xlux Soil Moisture Metre Sensor, $30

“My wife loves plants, and we have (too) many in our apartment. But I am a notorious plant killer who never knows how much or how often to water them. I recently bought this soil moisture metre to avoid serial-killing our green friends. You pop the metre's end into the soil and see how dry it is—which is perfect if you can't remember the last time you watered your plants or have a tendency to overwater them.” —Erica Lenti, deputy features editor

Jenny Bird Sofia Choker, $278

“When it comes to jewellery, I love mixing metals and I'm always looking for pieces that can be styled in a ton of different ways. When I saw this two-tone silver-and-gold choker by Toronto designer Jenny Bird, I had to have it. You can either wear it half-and-half, or have just one of the metals showing. The ribbed texture is incredibly chic, and you can wear each half as bracelets as well. This is going to be my go-to to dress up a plain crewneck tees from now on.” —Andréanne Dion, senior style and beauty editor

Phlur Mango Mood Hair & Body Fragrance Mist, $28 for 90 mL

“I recently impulse-bought Phlur's Mango Mood body mist. The first time I sprayed it, it reminded me of a scent I used to wear in the '90s. It's fruity, but it has depth and warmth to make it more grown-up. This is definitely going to be my everyday scent going into summer.” —Aimee Nishitoba, art director

Everlane The Way-High Curve Jeans, $180

“I'd been eyeing these jeans for a while, but wasn't sold on what the curved shape would look like IRL. (I'm trying to only buy five items of new clothing per year, so I have to make each purchase count.) But when my extremely stylish colleague, Toronto Life art director Colleen Nicholson, showed up at our office in a pair, I was 100 percent sold. I bought the black wash and they're incredibly versatile—they look as good with a blazer as they do with a faded concert t-shirt.” —Gillian Grace, deputy editor, digital

Flortte Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in Shade 02, $11

“This glittery eyeshadow is small enough to carry in your pocket, and it comes with a small brush applicator that can be angled in different ways to create a thinner or thicker line. I like streaking it across my lower lash line to open up my eyes and give them a sparkly shimmer. I bought the pale pink shade, but it also comes in other colours, including blue.” —Isie Yang, art intern
