Spring weather might be just around the corner, but we're still in cozy mode over at Chatelaine HQ. From a memoir our editor-in-chief couldn't put down to a kitchen must-have our food editor swears by to the sweater our style editor is currently wearing on repeat, here's what got our team through the last few weeks of winter.

The Tell by Amy Griffin, $38

A cover of the book The Tell by Amy Griffin for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“This Oprah-approved memoir was the best book I read in March and I need other people to read it so we can discuss. After MDMA therapy, Griffin recalls being sexually assaulted by one of her teachers in the late 1980s. She attempts to press charges, but due to a statute-of-limitations loophole in Texas, where she grew up, she's unable to do so. Instead, she wrote this memoir—and is now being sued by a former classmate who says Griffin's story is actually her own.” —Maureen Halushak, editor-in-chief

Conair InfinitiPro Steam Therapy Hair Steamer, $100

The Conair InfinitiPro Steam Therapy Hair Steamer for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“I usually have to wash or spritz my hair in the morning to bring my curls to life, which isn’t ideal—especially in the winter. With this hair steamer, my curls instantly look refreshed, defined and full of volume without getting my hair wet.

I also like using the steamer with a hair mask—the steam opens the hair cuticles, which helps the product absorb better, and it leaves my hair softer and more hydrated. It heats up quickly, it’s easy to use and it makes maintaining healthy curls so easy and convenient.” —Sun Ngo, creative director

Nothing Ear (a) earbuds, $150

Nothing Ear (a) earbuds for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“Earlier this year, my wife stole my Apple AirPods and never gave them back. Such is life. In retaliation, I stole her pair of Nothing Ear (a) earbuds that she had stashed away in a drawer. These earbuds are made by the same company behind the Nothing Phone, one of the earliest dumbphones on the market. With the Nothing earbuds, I was blown away by the sound—seriously, these handle bass and mids way better than my AirPods did—and at how effective the noise cancellation is. The battery life is also astronomical (I often don't charge them for weeks and they somehow still work). Bonus: They are significantly cheaper than most other big name-brand headphones.” —Erica Lenti, deputy editor, features

Reformation x Tess Madalyn Gigone Cashmere Sweater, $428

A green and pink Reformation Tess cashmere sweater for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“Reformation recently partnered with Canadian content creator Tess Madalyn Gigone—who is known both for her food content and her extensive knitwear collection—on a line of cozy and colourful cashmere sweaters that are so perfect, I had to own one. I opted for the olive green with a delicate pink trim, and it's proven to be incredibly versatile—I've been pairing it with my favourite leopard slip skirt, as well as dark-washed barrel jeans. I love how slouchy it is, and how the pastel trim really pops when I roll up the sleeves. I'm keeping an eye out for a sale so I can snag the baby blue version with butter yellow details before summer.” —Andréanne Dion, senior style, beauty and travel editor

Compost Genie Compost Bin, $115

A black Compost Genie compost bin for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“Years back, when my kids were still in diapers, I made the mistake of purchasing a fancy, powdered-steel diaper pail that may have fit into the nursery's decor but did absolutely nothing to contain the smell. Switching to a Diaper Genie was an immediate and shocking improvement, so when the company decided to step into another odorous category—compost bins—I was intrigued and got one for my recently renovated kitchen. In addition to holding more material than my standard city-issue green bin, this receptacle is a sleek upgrade.” —Chantal Braganza, deputy editor, food

Conair InfinitiPro Infrared Round Brush, $80

The Conair InfinitiPro Infrared Round Brush for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“I frequently style my hair with a round brush, and I'm currently working on perfecting loose waves. This thermal brush is new to my routine, but I've been loving how easy it is to create big curls on dry hair with it. The round brush has four temperature settings (I use the highest setting as I have thick, untreated hair that doesn't hold a curl well), but the infrared technology means that you don't have to use a high temperature to achieve a style that lasts. The brush has both hard and soft nylon bristles that grip onto hair to create tension, which makes for a smoother curl. I'm still new to it, but it's already making my morning hair routine so much easier.” —Aimee Nishitoba, art director

Lululemon Rain Rebel Jacket, $268

A model wearing a beige Lululemon rain jacket for an article about our editors best purchases in March 2026.

“I bought this rain jacket recently in preparation for spring showers, and I’ve already worn it a few times. I’d been struggling to find a cute jacket that’s also practical—most styles I tried on prior to finding this one were a little shapeless. This Lululemon one is chic and fitted, leaving just enough room for a light sweater. The hood is cinchable, so rain doesn’t get in. I got it on sale in rainforest green, which is no longer available, but there are eight other colours to choose from, including black and navy.” —Amy Evans, commerce editorial director
