So you’ve planned the perfect date, picked the perfect dress, the perfect lipstick, now only one thing is missing: the perfect perfume. On Valentine’s Day be sure to choose a fragrance that makes you feel sexy and romantic. Whether you tend towards a light, floral bouquet or a darker, woodsy blend, there are few hot spots to spray for an all day (and night!) long-lasting scent.

Hit the pulse points. Your natural body heat helps to release the fragrance of your perfume so it is essential to spray the areas where your blood comes closest to your skin. (That means skip out on dousing your clothing since the smell will just evaporate).

Spritz your wrists and massage them together, then use your wrists to rub the base of your neck, your temples, behind your ears and knees.

Stick to two sprays in the morning, and resist the urge to reapply later in the day. Over time you may become desensitized to your own scent, but that doesn’t mean that others have too.
