Bold lips

Here’s your go-to look for summer: a soft, neutral face with a bright pop of lip colour. Pay special attention to your brows, and finish with a light coat of mascara.

How to get the look: lips

For long-lasting colour, use a satin lipstick. Apply, blot with a tissue and apply again. Want a bold lip without the commitment? Try a bright gloss instead.

Try: Covergirl LipPerfection lipstick in Hot, $11. Dior Addict Gloss in Diablotine, $31.

How to get the look: lashes

For extra oomph, curl your lashes with a metal curler before applying mascara.

Try: Sephora Collection eyelash curler, $23.

How to get the look: brows

Fill in sparse brows with a brow pencil that matches, or is a bit lighter than, your natural hair colour.

Try: L’Oreal Super Liner Brow Artist brow pencil in Brunette, $12.

How to get the look: eyes

We all need a neutral palette in our makeup bag. Tones of beige, taupe and brown never lose their appeal and can easily be worked to create a classic smoky eye.

Try: Lise Watier Quatuor eyeshadow quartet in Les Mats, $33.
