Get the look

Keep it simple. This is the opposite of a classic smoky eye — just pick one shade. Makeup artist David Allan Jones suggests prepping eyelids with concealer or a taupe base shadow, then using a soft eyeshadow brush to gently dust a long-lasting formula across the eyelids, layering to build colour.

If you have fair or light lashes, curl them and add a coat of mascara before applying eyeshadow. The mascara will define your lash line so you’ll need less eyeshadow.
