You know her from some of your favourite movies (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, The Wedding Singer, Charlie's Angels), but did you know Drew Barrymore has her own line of cosmetics? The 39-year-old mother of two launched Flower last year, and this month it's making its Canadian debut (available exclusively at Walmart). Turns out, makeup has always been a love of Drew's. From a very young age she's been exposed to the best makeup artists in the industry, and she recently wrapped up a seven-year stint as co-creative director of CoverGirl. With Flower, the goal is to bring quality products to everyone at an affordable price. "We wanted to create something elegant and timeless, vanity-table-type items," says Drew. "But it's not only pretty to look at, what’s inside is a totally different quality than you’re going to find in the same market space. We put everything into our formulas and packaging."
So what does Drew's own beauty regime consist of? "First off, I'm an obsessive-compulsive face washer. And then I like a light and dewey look. We created a Highlighter Chubby in three different shades, and I wear it every day; I’m obsessed. And I never go anywhere without my Skincognito Stick — I love it for daytime coverage, especially because it can be blended to go away but it has enough pigment that it will cover. And our Mauve Mimosa Lip Butter is my favourite. I throw it on my lips and my cheeks and it immediately gives me a dewy, sort of tan glow."
