Beauty product of the month

I don't like baking in the sun (too hot, too boring and too damaging for my pale skin). But I also don't like how pasty my fair legs look at the beginning of summer. Time for a self-tanner! I'm fond of Neutrogena's new Build-a-Tan Gradual Sunless Tanning Lotion, $13. It's easy to use and lets you make the bronze transition slowly. Some tanners are too dark—the effect looks fake. This new formula provides a hint of colour that dries in five minutes so you can add more coats if you want a darker look. Many people like the idea of a phony tan, but are nervous to try one.
