Aldo and Swarovski: a stunning partnership

By dfulsang
Aldo's Swarovski-crystal studded cuff. $99
Swarovski, the crystal powerhouse, known for everything from chandeliers to tabletop figurines, has linked up with Montreal-based Aldo to create a stunning collection of crystal jewellery. Not that the more-than-century old crystal company doesn't do trinkets. Its brilliant necklaces, bracelets, earrings and brooches over the past few years have been knockouts.    The Aldo Crystallized collection, which includes 11 design, will be available beginning this month at Aldo Accessories stores and online at www.aldoshoes.com. Chunky necklaces, cocktail rings, deco-inspired bangles and rings are gorgeous and irresistibly priced. My fave? A wide cuff that comes encrusted with crystal and amythest-coloured stones as well as turquoise, or in a more summery, coral-turquoise-crystal combination. It's decadent and slightly retro-’50s in scale and attitude, and I love it. I’m thinking I should pick up a pair – one dazzling cuff for each wrist. My little black dress will never be the same.
