Curtis Stone came to visit the Chatelaine Kitchen recently; in person, he's as funny and genuine – an devastatingly handsome – as you might imagine. One of the many reasons we love Curtis is that his cooking isn't at all fussy; rather, it's about getting good grub on the table so family and friends can gather and have fun. His simple ideas and clever tips add big flavour without a lot of work, so we asked him to share his secrets to great grilling.

First, find ways to add flavour right from the start:

Second, dress it up with simple sauces and salsas – like Curtis' Avocado Chimichurri and Mouth-on-Fire Salsa.

Finally, make sure you have all the right tools on hand. Watch below to see Curtis explain the importance behind all 10 tools.
