Fiery cheese and chives

Ingredients

  • 250-g pkg cream cheese, at room temperature

  • 1/4 cup chopped chives, or finely chopped green onion

  • 2 tbsp hot sauce, such as Dan T's Spiced Cayenne Sauce

Instructions

  • Place room-temperature cream cheese in a small bowl. Or remove cold cheese from wrapping and place in a bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on high until softened, from 45 to 60 seconds. Stir in chives and hot sauce. Turn into a dish and serve with a small knife for spreading. Covered and refrigerated, spread keeps well for 3 days.
