Caraway cheddar-cheese spread

Ingredients

  • 125 g light or regular cream cheese, at room temperature

  • 3 tbsp port, or dry sherry

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped green onion

  • 1/4 tsp caraway seeds

  • pinch of black pepper

  • 2 cups finely grated old cheddar

Instructions

  • Stir cream cheese with port. Then, stir in remaining ingredients. Serve with pumpernickel squares or crackers. Covered and refrigerated, spread will keep for 1 week.
