1 250-g container whipped or spreadable cream cheese
2 cups old cheddar
2 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp dried cranberries, or toasted nuts
Mix cream cheese with grated old cheddar cheese, milk, dry mustard and cayenne.
Stir in very finely chopped dried cranberries or toasted nuts. Use right away or cover and refrigerate up to 3 days. Serve with tiny pretzels or slices of multigrain baguette.
To reduce calories and fat, use light cream cheese and low-fat cheddar cheese.
