"Bloody good" martinis

Andreas Trauttmansdorff

Go all out this Halloween and add "blood-dripping rims" to your martini glasses.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp corn syrup

  • red food colouring

  • 2 bottles Jamaican ginger beer

  • 2 cups pomegranate juice

  • 1 3/4 cups vodka

  • 1/2 cup Grand Marnier orange liqueur

Instructions

  • Pour corn syrup onto a small plate. Stir in a drop of red food colouring. Roll glass rims in mixture. Set on a tray. They'll drip a bit and then set.

  • Just before serving, mix ginger beer, pomegranate juice, vodka and Grand Marnier in a large pitcher. Pour over crushed ice in glasses.
