The Audrey Sparkling Cocktail

15

  • Makes1
The Audrey sparkling cocktail: Martini Rosso or red vermouth; juice of 1/2 orange and 1/3 cup Prosecco in a short glass rimmed with brown sugar for a post on the best recipe to make this classic sparkling cocktail

Ottawa’s 107 Fourth Avenue Wine Bar & Café serves this tipple, but owner Dave Eaton refuses to take credit: He discovered it at Aperitivo Et Al in Bellagio, Italy, and it’s named after the bartender there who created it.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, cut into wedges (for garnish)

  • brown sugar

  • 3 tbsp Martini Rosso or red vermouth

  • juice of 1/2 orange

  • 1/3 cup Prosecco

Instructions

  • Run an orange wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, then turn upside down onto a plate of brown sugar to coat

  • Fill glass with ice. Add red vermouth and orange juice. Top with prosecco.
