Juicy local peaches and fresh basil make each bite a special seasonal treat.
2 peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
2 tbsp basil, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1/8 tsp salt
fresh pepper
8 1/2-in. slices baguette
PREHEAT barbecue to medium. Toss peaches with basil, lemon juice, olive oil and salt in a medium bowl. Season with fresh pepper. Oil grill. Barbecue baguette slices until grill marks form, 1 to 2 min per side. Top with peach mixture.
