Consider how much you could save by staying home—enough to buy an antique ashtray table or a designer dress on sale.
Think before you buy Don't just get something because it's a good deal—make sure you actually need it or that you'll use it in the future.
Learn to invest Spend money on investment pieces, such as a crisp white blouse, that you'll be able to wear again and again.
