Rona Ambrose is trolling Justin Trudeau — and it's pretty great

A+ for effort.

It seems that interim Conservative Party leader Rona Ambrose is still annoyed with three little words Justin Trudeau uttered nearly 10 months ago: "Because it's 2015."

The explanation the PM gave for building a gender-balanced cabinet was an instant catchphrase, and Ambrose has basically been rolling her eyes at him since.

In addition to explicitly stating that she champions women in her party because they're strong and "not because it's 2015" in December, and burning him repeatedly in her CPC convention speech in May, the Conservative Party tweeted a photo of Ambrose wearing a campaign-like button that has the sole purpose of making fun of the prime minister. An inset zoom makes the button's message clear: "It is the current year." Damn.

Hilarious for sure, but CPC take note: It's a little less funny when you have to point out your own joke.
