Today's pairing: Pretty Woman reunion + strawberry-Champagne cocktail

The news: Twenty-five years after their silver-screen debut, the cast of Pretty Woman reunited Tuesday morning on the Today Show. Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Laura San Giacomo and director Garry Marshall revealed some crazy secrets about the movie's original trajectory — before Marshall veered the plot into romantic-comedy territory, the film was temporarily titled 3,000 and centered on Edward's drug-fueled lifestyle. (Prostitution ended up being way more audience-friendly, we guess.) On a lighter note, Gere spoke wistfully of his instant chemistry with Roberts, who was then a relative unknown, saying, "We loved each other immediately, it was a really great thing."

The dish: A high-class strawberry-and-Champagne cocktail. Not adding Cointreau would be a big mistake. Huge. Get the recipe here.
